Service provided by Monroe Fire District #3 includes Fire Protection, Advanced Life Support Medical Services, Basic Life Support Medical Services, Technical Rescue, Hazardous Materials, Public Assistance, Fire Prevention, and Public Safety Education.

Presently, the Department employs a Chief Fire Officer, an Assistant Chief Fire Officer, 3 Battallion Chiefs, 6 Captains, a Fire Marshall, a Public Educator, 16 Career Firefighters, 13 Career Firefighter/Paramedics, 35 Volunteer Firefighters, a Support Staff of 3, and 9 Mechanics.

Monroe Fire District #3 is governed by a Board of Fire Commissioners that meets on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month.  Meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. and are held at the Headquarters Fire Station.

In an effort to increase efficiency and effectiveness, we have joined forces with neighboring Governmental agencies to reduce duplications of services and costs.  Programs currently in operation or in developmental stages are: East Snohomish County Regional Shop, Advanced Life Support Program (Paramedics), Cooperative Purchasing, Regional Training, and several other programs.  These programs permit all of the participating Departments to provide their taxpayers with better service without being independently financially responsible for the program costs.  By combining resources, we have found that we are able to accomplish things that we certainly would have not been able to do alone.  East Snohomish County Fire Districts have raised the bar in the area of Intergovernmental Cooperation and have come to be known as very progressive in this area state wide.
