The Explorer Post is a program of the Boy Scouts of America and is sponsored by Monroe Fire District #3. Monroe Firefighters act as Post Advisors and Trainers educating interested students about the Fire and Emergency Services profession. Young men and woman gain experience in fire related responsibilities in a non-hazardous capacity. After mandatory training classes and skill performance tests, the Explorers will participate in a ride-along program and attend an annual Fire Explorer Academy. The Explorer Post is not intended to be a direct recruiter of future firefighters, but to enhance your decision about the firefighting profession.
