Headquarters Station is located at 163 Village Court in Downtown Monroe. The station was built in 1991 and is over 26,000 square feet. The station contains 9 heated apparatus bays, a training tower, and a maintenance shop with 2 apparatus bays. Inside you will find full sleeping quarters capable of sleeping 10 individuals, a training room with surround sound audio, a video editing room, administrative offices, a full kitchen, and a dayroom with pool table. This station also houses a 1,500 foot wellness center that is available to the City, Police and Fire Stations and contains modern day excercise equipment, free weights, treadmills, climbers, and more. The wellness center also has a children's area and showers for men and women. This station is staffed 24 hours a day with career and volunteer personnel. Staffing consists of 3 rotating shifts of Union personnel. Each shift works 1 day on, 1 off, 1 on, 1 off, 1 on, 4 off . Each shift consists of a Battalion Chief, 2 Captains, approximately 3 Firefighters, and 5 Paramedic Firefighters. There is also a daytime shift consisting of the Chief, Assistant Chief, 2 Part-Time Firefighters, a Fire Marshall, a Public Educator, and 3 Administrative staff that work Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. There are also 2 Volunteer Firefighters that are assigned sleeper shifts per their assigned crews. Volunteers work 12 hour weekday shifts, from 7 pm to 7 am, and 24 hour weekend shifts, from 7 am to 7 am. Volunteers are trained as pump operators and as Emergency Medical Technicians.
Station 32 is located at 22122 132nd St which is outside of the city limits. The station has 2 drive-thru bays, a kitchen, dayroom, and sleeping quarters for 4 individuals. A Captain, Paramedic, and a Firefighter are assigned to this station from each shift. An ALS ambulance, Brush truck, and an Engine are stationed at this location.
